30 Mar'10 | Seminar for students “Integration and Tolerance”

On April 19-20, 2010 the seminar for students on the integration and the tolerance issues will be organized by Tolerance Center under the Public Defender’s Office. The seminar will be held with support of UNDP, National Integration and Tolerance in Georgia program and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

20 students, 5 students from Kvemo Kartli, 5 students from Samtskhe- Javakheti and 10 students from Tbilisi, will be selected for the participation in the seminar. The main goal of the seminar is to increase awareness of ethnic minorities on integration and tolerance issues. The majority of the participants will be selected from the representatives of ethnic minority communities. Two days seminar will be carried out on Georgian language.

The first day will be dedicated to the review of Georgian Constitution, European Convention of Human Rights and framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities and the second day to the discussion of the tolerance culture development in Georgia.

The expenses will be covered by the organizers.
